Maya is a founding co-director of DATAlab.

Maya Przybylski is an Assistant Professor at the School of Architecture at the University of Waterloo. Through her teaching and research, Maya is exploring the role of computation in developing ecologically informed design strategies. She is a graduate of the Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Design at the University of Toronto where she was awarded the Royal Architectural Institute Medal for her thesis work. She previously earned a degree with a specialization in Software Engineering at the Department of Computer Science at the University of Toronto.

In 2008, Maya became a director of InfraNet Lab, a non-profit research collective probing the spatial by-products of contemporary resource logistics. The Lab’s research into urban infrastructures is published in Pamphlet Architecture 30. Maya is co-editor of Bracket 1 [On Farming] and Bracket 3 [At Extremes].
