The focus of this computational exploration was the creation of dynamic façade patterns through vertical rotational elements. This project was initiated with the intent of finding efficient ways of pattern creation, in order to generate a sensitive dialogue between interior and exterior environments - creating a composition between solids and transparencies. The play with angles of rotation was an interesting premise, providing the opportunity to generate patterns based on various degrees of openings, while working within a 3-dimensional environment within Processing.

The intention of this code was to formulate a series of vertical louvers that rotate based on given parameters and various functions. The click of a mouse or a key press was intended to prompt a change in angles and colours when specific functions were called. Different scenarios were defined, to generate various visual outputs. Initially, 9 different scenarios were projected for this project, however due to time and the level of expertise, 3 main scenarios were explored- the uniform rotation of louvers, the random rotation of louvers, and a gradient rotation of louvers. The colour variable was taken out of the equation.
